Just remembered...

there are several rolls of film in the refrigerator... I had brought them back from Miami in March... this was when I went there with heavy analogue photo equipment....
I just remembered that because I came across one of the older Pelican pictures (I know, I know) that were actually shot with that 1950's equipment...
Hmm... Not only was I able to stand further away from the bird... the lens was a more serious one... and the weather was better...
Hmm... I have the feeling that the film in the refrigerator has continued a chemical process that will lead to some very unexpected results...
Hmm... will try to at least have it developed this year, I guess...

oh i LOVE this shot! it's like some old guy, laughing really hard at some dirty joke :)

Why do you leave film in the fridge?

The colours and textures in this photo are perfect, Witold. This shot has an old stereoscopic quality to it...I can almost imagine myself looking through a Viewmaster and finding this strange bird! Next, please!!

PS. It looks even better on an Apple Cinema Display ;-)

Sian, what happens with film is a chemical process... the exposure is just a starting point... leaving a film without refrigeration after exposure is leaving it to think about its just collected memories... in a tiny, rolled up form.... hmmm i do not think that refrigeration will have slowed downed things in my case... not only have the films spent months in the refrigerator.. they also survived the blackout... I am pretty certain that what will come out of these rolls will be some pretty unpredictable results...
hmm... too late...

Lil!, your comment makes me blush... especially because I know that you are a real expert of the matter...
I feel really honored by all of the comments here... it is so amazing to receive such a positive response...

thank you so much!... thank you!, thank you!

Wonderful. Again. You have really increased my appreciation of, if nothing else, at least those wonderfully characteristic birds. I agree about the look of this photo - it reminds me of a viewmaster shot also. A photo that has had me staring at it for quite some time. Thankyou.

(thank you soo much!) : )

awesome. hey, did you ever see that film Winged Migration?
