Do not let the name throw you off. This is a beautiful little site I wish I could link to individual entries. The sock dog pictures on 1/29/2003 for example are quite excellent... Also, take a good look at W’s photography.

What's new, pussycat? Is the actual title of the Blog. And it is a great one. Shauna has managed to attract a whole community of commentators to her site and it is no surprise because her writing is quite excellent and basically reflects her really great personality. How do I know that? Oh, I have been reading WNP for a while now. Thank you for writing it Shauna. (Actually, the entire site is quite great. It is shauny.org)

Jace Herring’s feels like a very elegant quiet corner of the web. There are tiny rants, and there are very nice pictures (boy, they are really nice). It takes some time to find them all, but it makes the experience of the site even more fun. I really hope Jace will not stop taking photographs. He really has an excellent eye for photography. He says he is starting out... he is starting out the right way. He claims to be 19.

Bryan is a hard working designer and illustrator. His style is this clean, slightly sugary westcoast design. Really quite excellent work.

Christa blogs so well, I wish she blogged much more. She is not hiding behind some blog persona, or pretending to have invented the angry opinion. She seems quite honest in her blog, her personality shines through, and she is a person filled with a good spirit and a good heart. Leave comments on her blog. Show her your support.

ChrisDiClerico.com

Chris has done something what Chris had to do. He opened his blog to ten more contibutors and just built an instant family, a hotspot with opinions so strong and strange and different that it is always great fun returning to the site (Okay, it is sometimes very painful too, but what can I say.) I am probably the mildest of the writers on the blog and I certainly do not agree with some of the opinions (do not agree at all), but I could say something, I could scream and shout, I could balance the force, I have the right to do so. The Chris DiClerico family will certainly grow quickly. He might say whatever he wants, he is one of the nicest, most honest, most reliable guys I have ever met in my life. I am really glad he is blogging and letting blog. (Is this English at all?)
Update: I do no longer feel that I can add to the mix at Chrisdiclerico.com. The political opinions of some of the users just do not make me want to post there anymore.

Todd Levin is a real writer. There is no doubt about it that he is a really excellent, intelligent writer too. I read his blog as often as I can, even though I do not get all the references and hints and jokes (He is obviously much deeper embedded in the popular culture of New York or the United States, or maybe it is just me.) Some of the things Todd writes are not what I would ever say or write or even think, but he just manages to package it so well, that I can not say anything bad about him. (Stop making fun of other people, Todd!) I think that his success has only just begun. There will be books, there will be movies, there already is a standup show. What else can I say here?... Don’t forget the Donuts. (And please be kind to others, Todd!)

Todd Dominey is a new media designer from Atlanta. His writing sometimes gets me a bit upset, but his site has good style, he is really well organized and some of his tips have helped me a lot to wrestle my daily work. So even though I sometimes want to just kick him for the things he says, or slap him for his opinions, I still return to his blog almost every day.

Dawn Mikulich lives and blogs from Chicago. Her site has this really consistent beautiful design, the blog entries are very often illustrated by these richly saturated, beautiful photographs. I visit the site quite often, it is just such pleasure for the eye. She knows her technology as well, and is always somehow ahead of the curve, wave, edge, whatever you might want to call it. I also found my hosting through Dawn. (Thank you Dawn.)

Claire Robertson, the supernice Illustrator from Australia and recently also a mom, writes about her life down under. Her blog is an inspiration. She used to hand code all the pages and has just recently switched to Movable Type. Her site is a place filled with love and good things.
